about
Music to make you dance. Lyrics to make you cry. Axel St. Patience's second single, "Lost Boys," captures the essence of the Austin, TX night scene. Partly inspired by the 1987 American horror film directed by Joel Schumacher, “Lost Boys” captures the longing of a heart born broken desperately trying to find something that makes life worth living. It’s an homage to all the bleary-eyed and eternally romantic outsiders who take life as it comes in hopes that—one day—it will all make sense.
lyrics
I could never be as cool as you.
Drop-dead gorgeous, blue moon like you.
But I want to. I want to.
You go me staring at your lips like...
Got me thinking I might like-like
you, you...
We breathe the light.
We breathe the music.
We breathe the moment as it passes through us.
Let's go be lost boys.
Time's on our side.
Take me to that heaven where we don't have to hide anymore.
Walking down this neon avenue.
Could never be as Austin, TX, as you.
Stumbling words. Stumbling like you.
You take me to the Sidebar restroom.
Doing things you know we shouldn't do.
I consume. All your gloom.
We breathe the light.
We breathe the music.
We breathe the moment as it passes through us.
Let's go be lost boys.
Time's on our side.
Take me to that heaven where we don't have to hide anymore.
Anymore.
Let's get high. You can share your darkest dreams with me.
Just come clean. Just come clean,
Make me bad. I'm tired of feeling so goddamn sad.
Make me bad. Make me bad.
We breathe the light.
We breathe the music.
We breathe the moment as it passes through us.
We breathe the light.
We breathe the music.
We breathe the moment as it passes through us.
Let's go be lost boys.
Time's on our side.
Take me to that heaven where we don't have to hide anymore.
